MATT JOHNSTON ARCHITECT PROFILE
Matt's goal is to provide a thoughtful and creative response to the sharing of ideas and ultimately create responsible buildings through considerate architecture.
In addition to managing his own firm, Matt has been practicing architecture for over 15 years as a member of some of Canada's most innovative architectural firms, including Busby & Associates Architect in British Columbia (Peter Busby is a recipient of the Order of Canada), the Ventin Group and Pye & Richards in Ontario. To compliment his thoughtful and cutting edge approach to architecture, Matt is able to offer strong project and construction administration to any design or design-build project. Matt's unique experience coupled with his builder designation allows him to understand the significance that design has on budgets. This unique combination of skills ensures that visions and project budgets are met and maintained through out the duration of any project. Matt's well-rounded design experience is grounded from his experience at the Bauhaus in Dessau Germany, and he has applied his talents in the areas of institutional, commercial and residential projects. Matt's dedication to the built environment is complimented by his licensing as both a Registered Architect and a Built Green Residential Builder in British Columbia as well as his active pursuit of LEEDS designation.
